  • Atkins Diet Log #8

    Time on Atkins: 52 days
    Status - Too tired to check.

    Weight as of 7/30/08:  266.2 lbs.

    Today's Meals
    Breakfast: pork rinds, slice of american cheese.
    Lunch:  Green salad with some roast chicken slices and ranch dressing
    Dinner: stir fried broccoli with chopped up hot dogs, ground beef and scrambled eggs.

    Comments:

    WOOT!  Finally under 270!  Been cheating on the diet a bit.  Morgan's friend Victor came to see us over the weekend and we wined and dined him all over New York, including at a Northern Chinese restaurant whose "Yu Xiang Chie Zhi" or Eggplant in Garlic sauce was a little TOO sweet to be good for us.  Most likely its been the stress of moving and staying up late and exhausted that has helped offset that.  Judging by the shifting body fat and muscle percentages, i've decided to cut back on fats in my diet.  I'm losing weight, that's great, but I shouldn't build up too much fat, my body can only process so much, and while the fats should be processed pretty quickly since my body needs the energy, I think depriving it of dietary fat should help speed up the process.  This means, less pork rinds, less bacon, less oil in my food.  Stuff I didn't normally care about because Atkins was effective enough.  But I worry that as i continue on my diet things will slow down, so best to take precautionary measures.

    Hopeful Observations:  Now on the 4th hole of my watchband!  That's NEVER happened before!
